Jayhawk Linn Volleyball will compete this Saturday in the 3A Volleyball Substate held at Girard High School. The Lady Jayhawks will open in the substate semifinals against the home team Girard Trojans. The first set will start at 1pm at Girard High School gymnasium. If the Jayhawks advance they will play the winner of the Humboldt/Prairie View match for a chance to go to the 3A Volleyball State Tournament in Hutchinson next week! Admission at Girard: $8 adults/$6 students Come down and help cheer the Lady Jayhawks on to victory! Good Luck Ladies!
Jayhawk Linn Varsity Football travels to Uniontown tomorrow night to play the Eagles at 7pm. Get out and the support the Jayhawks on their last regular season game as they play for the Three Rivers League Championship and their spot for the playoffs! Good Luck Jayhawks!
Jayhawk Linn Cross Country has had a great season so far and will look to build on that great season this Saturday in the 3A Regional Cross Country Races held at Central Heights High School. Come out and cheer on the boys and girls teams who have an opportunity to qualify for the 3A State Championship Races at Rim Rock Farm in Lawrence the following weekend! Central Heights is hosting a 2A and 3A regional so there will be 4 races on Saturday. The first race of the day will be the 2A Girls race at 10am and the Jayhawk Linn Girls team will run in the 3A Girls Race starting at 10:35am. The Jayhawk Linn Boys team will run at 11:45am. Central Heights will be offering concessions included on the attached flyer. Good Luck to our Jayhawk Teams!
Dear Families,
This afternoon, we conducted a scheduled lockdown drill as part of our ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and preparedness of our students and staff. The purpose of this drill was to help students practice the procedures we would follow in the event of an actual emergency. I want to reassure you that today’s exercise was only a drill, and there was no real danger.
Our students did an excellent job following instructions, remaining calm, and demonstrating their understanding of the safety protocols.
Thank you for your support as we continue working to keep our school a safe and prepared environment for learning.
The Flu Clinic has been rescheduled for Tuesday November 5, 2024. If you would rather use the paper form to register it should be available tomorrow in the front office at each school.

Great job by the Jayhawk Linn Volleyball team getting two good wins tonight against Burlington and Osawatomie, each in two sets! They lost to the home team Frontenac, but advance on to play Saturday in the Substate semifinals! Substate brackets should come out tomorrow so we find out times, location, and opponent for the Lady Jayhawks!
Congratulations to Celeste Schneider on qualifying for day 2 of the 321A State Girls Golf Tournament at Emporia today! Celeste played a great round today and sits in 4th place overall going in to day 2. She will tee off at 10:20am. Good Luck tomorrow Celeste!

Congratulations to the Jayhawk Linn Varsity Volleyball Team on their 2nd consecutive Three Rivers League Championship today at Southeast Cherokee. The Jayhawks beat St Paul in the semifinals and then won the Championship match in two exciting sets against the home team Southeast Cherokee. Great Job Ladies!

Reminder to JES Families: No School Friday, October 18th
Jayhawk Linn Student Support Staff will be providing a tailgate and concession stand tomorrow night. They will be having hamburgers and hotdogs for tailgate.
All proceeds from the tailgate/concession stand tomorrow will be donated to a scholarship fund created by Jayhawk Linn Student Support Staff to assist students with the financial costs of higher education. We have the privilege of working with some incredible students who are eager to continue their education, and scholarships are valuable investment that can truly change a student’s life. We appreciate the community support and generosity.
Jayhawk Linn Football hosts Southeast Cherokee tomorrow night at 7pm. It is Senior Night so Senior Cross Country, Football, Volleyball, Band, & Cheerleaders will be recognized prior to the game at 6:30pm.
